They will go in order to network, understand the music industry, and build relationships that can lead to future business ventures. Anyone who recognizes the importance of music in their business or career will find the BMC an invaluable experience. The Boston Music Conference will be held September 26-27, 2008. Doors open at 10:00, 21+, proper dress required. The Boston Music Conference will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Roxy Ballroom at the Tremont Hotel from 11 to 6. The concept of bringing a music conference to Boston began years ago when Boston native and BMC President Richy Peña noted that there are no resources available for young talent in the city and very limited opportunities. Berklee College did a study in 2006 and found that about 72% of aspiring artists move to either New York or Los Angeles to pursue their music and entertainment career. Why should the region lose its talent to other cities? Developing music and entertainment in Boston will generate revenue for the area businesses and community organizations while adding prestige to our city and community. |
