Booking for 12 Competition dates listed below. Seeking talent to fill the Boston Music Conference Showcase stage with the region’s most promising and hardworking artists/bands. Each night will feature a different genre of music. This is a professional opportunity for a chance to hold a coveted performance slot in the BMC Showcase 2010.

Boston Music Conference Showcase will take place in front of A&R’s and Major Label Executives. There will be a panel of judges who will provide immediate feedback after your performance. Last year’s judges were Angel Martinez, G-Unit, Aldo Gonzalez, Universal and Eric Gast producer/engineer to Britney Spears, Kid Rock and Will Smith.

Bands can submit in the following ways:

• Go to www.sonicbids.com
• Fill out the application and pay a $10 submission fee.
• Bands/Artists need an Sonicbids EPK
• Please submit lyrics to your songs
• Only one maximum submission for artist

Selection Criteria:

• Overall musicality and performance
• Originality
• Ability to draw their fans and audience to their shows
• Stage presence, personality and charisma
• Professionalism (punctuality, seriousness and commitment)
• All artists/bands selected to perform at the final showcase, have to attend the BMC in its entirety.

Prizes for the Showcase series:

• The coveted opportunity to perform as part of the BMC Finale Showcase Lineup.
• Moon2 Entertainment will award winners one free consulting session including: Music/Song evaluation review and preparation to professionally meet all the panelists at the BMC.
• Feedback and advice from this year’s judge’s panel.
• Prize Package will be announced shortly.

The Boston Music Conference is an annual two-day conference and the biggest music industry event of its kind in the Northeast. The conference offers various educational forums including panels, workshops and mentorships. There will also benetworking, mixers, live performances and much more. The BMC will be held Saturday, September 25th and Sunday, September 26th, 2010.
The Mission of the Boston Music Conference is to educate and empower aspiring talent and entrepreneurs by providing them with the education and tools necessary to pursue a career in music and entertainment. 

The Boston Music Conference will bring together 1500+ participants from around the country including artists, entrepreneurs, major music industry executives and VIP’s, corporate representatives, entertainment personalities, publicists & marketers and students wishing to get a deeper understanding of the music industry. This unifying Boston-based event, gives attendants exclusive access to the industry’s top professionals from New York, LA, Miami, Atlanta and of course Boston.

People attend the BMC to network, build their understanding of the industry and develop relationships that lead to future business ventures.  In 2008 and 2009, representatives and A&Rs from major labels including Sony, Universal, Interscope, Atlantic Records, Def Jam, Motown and Machete were among the labels represented.
